Five of us, Dave Albertson, Bob Judge, George Spiedel, Doug Natale and Jules Heiliczer, took a railfanning trip to South Jersey on Jan. 14 2008. We left very early and had a great time.

Our first stop was the Southern Railroad of New Jersey. A short line located in Winslow Junction New Jersey.

The first locomotive we spotted was this 44 tonner.

On an adjacent track was an Canadian Alco. Modern looking for an Alco.

Across the street was an O&W painted 44 tonner. Very pretty.

Then we found the locomotive that to me made the trip worthwhile. An Alco C420 repainted in it's Lehigh Valley colors.
