The Reading or Philadelphia and Reading had trackage in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and was part of the Conrail family.

The Illinois Terminal had trackage in Illinois and Missouri (St. Louis), and was part of the Norfolk and Western family.

The Nickel Plate Road or New York, Chicago and St. Louis had trackage between New York, Chicago and St. Louis (duh), and was part of the Norfolk and Western family.

Amtrak also sent one of it's Heritage Locos. Well, it was the Phase I paint scheme (aka Rudloph or the Bloody Nose scheme).
