Mike and Jimmy are making adjustments to the new box frame that will attach to the end of the Phase 1 benchwork. Martin is waiting to attach the two box frames together.
The box frame is being re-assembled.
The benchwork under the temporary loop where the new benchwork will be attached.
Just a reminder of the scale of the layout. Jimmy is making adjustments to the wireless receivers for the Digitrax DCC system.

Marrying the new box frames to the old box frames.
A little gentle persuasion was necessary to make it line up straight.
Leveling it all out and attaching the legs.
Martin and Mike are attaching the legs to boxes #3 & 4.

Done for the night. The first 6 box frames have been attached, leveled and had their legs added. Only 4 more to go for Phase 2.
After completed, we’ll have a 3 foot aisle around the outside of the layout and a 6 foot aisle in the middle.
The room is getting a little smaller to move around in.
We’ve also been finishing up the wiring for the Jersey City Terminal panel. Here’s the connections to the switch machine buttons and LED switch indicators.

All the wiring is complete for the DCC stationary decoders for the Jersey City Terminal.
The finished panel. One down, three more to go. The large white numbers in the black boxes are the DCC Route number. If you enter this number on your throttle, it will also throw the switches without using the panel buttons.
We made the panels open up so we could get to the wiring easily. This is just the push buttons for the switches and the switch indicator lights. We still have to add the wires for the block switches.
The panels are on drawer hardware so they slide out when you need them…..
